Welcome to Yoga On the Beach 2009. Classes taught by Kreg Weiss overlooking Vancouver's beautiful English Bay.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this program successful. Donations have been given to Doctors Without Borders. We have raised $1766 for 2008. With the outdoor classes in 2006 and 2007, we have raised $3966. Hello Friends,
I first would like to extend my sincerest thanks to everyone who participated in last year's Outdoor Yoga Classes at English Bay.
Unfortunately, this year I will not be able to offer these Saturday morning classes as I will be out of town until late summer. I am in Montreal to be close to family members who need some special attention.
I may be offering classes by donation at a downtown Yoga studio this fall - I will send out a notice if these classes happen.
Rick Coe, a wonderful yoga teacher from Exhale Yoga Studio, will be continuing the Free Yoga Classes at Canada Place - please read more about this below.

Other Important Details Please respect the group practice by arriving early and enjoying silence prior to the class. Make sure you sign the waiver at each class. The Yoga classes will be mixed levels meaning everyone is welcome, beginner to advanced. If you are new to yoga or have any health concerns, arrive early to inform Kreg of your experience with Yoga and fitness so modifications can be prepared.
Other tips: *Avoid eating breakfast 1-2 hours before practice. If you have low-blood sugar or other health concerns, consume a small, easily digestible amount of food 15-20 minutes prior to arrival. *Bring a Yoga mat. *Bring sunscreen in case there is not enough room under the shades. *Go to the washroom before coming-washrooms available, but not close. *Bring extra water and food for after practice. *Wear a couple layers of clothing in case of cool weather and breezes. *Check the Class Schedule/Confirmation above prior to coming to insure classes are running (classes will be cancelled on rainy or cold days).
