In this live Wanderlust class with Margaret Pitkin, expect a series of deepening openers for the front of the hips and upper legs and a hearty dose of laughter. It ain’t nuthin’ but a party, y’all!
The name says it all! The psoas is a major “hip-flexor” muscle running from the middle of the back (T12) to the inner edge of the upper leg (femur, lesser trochanter), it is the only muscle in the body that runs directly from the spine to the legs and is a frequent contributor to low back stiffness and pain, tight “quads”, groin issues, and sacroiliac dysfunction.

Margaret! How fun to discover this class online! I took this class with you at Yoga Mountain last year! Now I have it at my disposal! Love this class! And, fear not, it won't prevent me from the joy of being with you LIVE and in person!

Really nice! Didn't mind that Margaret occasionally chose to consult her notes. Yoga instructors are only human, yes?

I'm excited to have found this video. Only made it 40 minutes in before the joys of living in the Appalachian Countryside kicked in. But I already am feeling better... Can't wait to finish it later! Maybe the internet's psoas was as out of whack as mine?!?!

Probably a great LIVE class though for home practitioners, the flow not as steady / translatable with note-reading. It was informative, nevertheless. I like this teacher's energy, thanks!

p.s. was teaching at yoga festivals before - it's fun, but can't imagine being filmed - that would def. add up to the stress of a teacher who is to distress public :) looking forward to more of your classes.

great class - I am using lots of your tips teaching my classes now! but, even though I watched your class and practised it a few times, by the time I teach most of the poses et forgotten or overwritten by class energy when I feel ok, we need to switch to something else now. So for a workshop on psoas, feel it was great and necessary to have notes! :)

This was a great education and hip releasing class! I didn't mind you looking at your notes at all. I have been holding in my belly for years to protest my lower back, and it turns out it was perfect for my psoas too! yea! I'll be incorporating these strategies into my daily routine for sure!

Thanks "Rain" and "Yogini108" for your feedback... I was definitely a little nervous for this class, it was only the second time I have taught in a venue of that size, and my first time ever being filmed for an online video. I knew I would be a bit nervous and did not want to leave anything out that I had put so much time into planning, so I had my notes with me.

Too much nervous talking and I agree, the notes are not a good thing. It was probably a good class to attend, but does not do much for me at home.

Great and very forgiving for beginners are those wanting a gentle class. Great for the evening; prepares for nighttime transition
