In Ayurveda, the fall season is associated with the dosha – uneven energy pattern – called Vata, which is composed of the elements Air and Space and which promotes movement. As essential as Vata is to our health, it can become chaotic during September through November, when Nature is in an unstable place. This class embraces physical practices that complement the Vata elements of fall with grounding, stabilizing, warming, flow sequences and daily routines. Extra TLC is given to the legs, colon, lungs, and bones, where Vata can be in excess or depleted during fall.

Can the poses be modified for a prenatal practice? There is a limited amount of prenatal classes and it is hard not to crave the variety of a regular vinyasa practice. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have been feeling anxious, stiff, and I woke with a migraine. This practice was soothing and I felt so much better afterwards. Thank you!

I have been practicing this class for the last few mornings and it's been really great to get the joints warmed and moving freely at the start of the day. It's Autumn in Australia and this class feels like it's just what I need to center myself in this changing weather. Thankyou :)
