Unsweetened coconut milk is great to have in your diet regularly. If you want the deeper therapeutic affects of the coconut oil then use this fat in cooking.

coconut oil is great for skin and hair treatments as well. I makd my own skin concotions with it along with other oils and a few drops of lavender to use on my face and body every night., I'm 52 and never guessed to be out of my 30's.

What great insights... just tried 1 tsp coconut oil in tea and teeccino (the coffee replacement) and YUM! Used to live on islands where coconuts were aplenty and have been craving them lots so this will be a nice new addition I'll add to my daily routine. Thank you!

Hi Lesh,
Thanks for your question.
Most of my fat research comes from a variety of books:
Know Your Fats by Dr Mary Enig (this one is very text book-like)
Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon
Articles posted on the Westonaprice.org website
Hope that helps.

Great Questions!
Anthonys: Coconut Oil is very heat stable so any extraction process is fine. Raw is not necessarily better, and probably quite a bit more expensive!
Allymarie: The recommended amount of coconut oil to consume for therapeutic use depends on your symptoms, body composition, and tolerance. If you want to inquire into this further please send me a personal message kate@greenresonance.com.
Thanks,
Kate
