        I have another question that has haunted me my entire life! I have the SLOWEST metabolism EVER! I generally eat quite healthy and raw compared to most people I know but always carry around a little bit of extra weight. I try to always have a healthy shake in the mornings to boost it into action but it doesn't seem to be enough. Does anyone have any other suggestions to help me? THANK YOU!

        • you can also try accupuncture! my metabolissm was also super slow and it turns out accupuncture is able to help heal your body ! also I agree with trying to reduce gluten, I recently started doing that and its amazing how quickly your body will thank you!

        • Remember that most cultures relish women with a few extra pounds. That is a sign of health. Bodies are much more beautiful when they are voluptuous. The other tip I would like to give is that eating a raw diet may not be best for your body. Some people gain weight on a raw diet, others waste away, and others remain the same. Listen to what your body is really looking for in terms of nourishment and see if a shift in diet is needed now.

        • Avoiding Restaurant Food.

          Hello! So far I am loving this yoga challenge! It really does wonders for my mind, body and soul. However, my biggest struggle is working in a restaurant and I often make poor meal choices out of being starving (light headed, weak, tired, irritable) or sick of the healthy options. Do you have any advice for how I can stay away from the fatty foods when I am constantly surrounded by them?

          • Hello,

            The symptoms of being light-headed, weak, tired and irritable are all symptoms of low blood sugar. At this time your body is in an extreme hunger situation and needs to get food fast. This is often when we make poor food choices.

            The solution starts way before you get to those symptoms. Make sure you are consuming enough calories before you go to work, and then while working make sure to have some food with you. That can be a homemade granola bar, almond butter on whole grain toast, apple with cheese, etc. Avoid all refined carbohydrates and sugars and eat every 2 hours to avoid the energy drop.
