I recently got diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia, apparently had been fighting it for 4 weeks and if I hadn't caught it, I would not be here today. I spent four days in the hospital, and am just now trying to get back to eating(since I had pretty much stopped) and I am trying to recover my body from the horrible effects of the different drugs they put me on(I never take drugs so my body had really bad reactions). I always try to eat right, and I practice Yoga daily, so to be in so much pain in my body is a surprise to me, like being smacked by your best friend. I have not practiced in over a week, hoping to find a gentle practice to ease me back into yoga and a relationship with my body, have to be careful of my lungs though...hoping to find the strength to get back on track..

did the fall seasonal vinyasa flow...thought it would be more of a flow, felt it could have used some more vinyasa's because my muscles did not feel warmed up enough to do the forward folds and some of the stretches...

it went awesome! I love Nico's practices, they are very inspiring. That is the amazing part of yoga, you make small accomplishments and it makes you so happy and yet there are always things to work on and improve on and strive toward. I hope his practice went well for you too!

didnt really like the mara flow. too fast for me to enjoy the poses, but maybe that is just because I like holding poses for a longer period of time to truly appreciate them.

Wasn't sure if i was in the mood to do power yoga therapy after the day I had but I am very glad I did. Very centering, prepared now for a good nights sleep! Thanks Jesse. And boy was this practice humbling, still so much to work on even after all this time

decided that I did in fact have time to do the kino introduction to ashtanga yoga...absolutely incredible. Challenging but with great tips to improve my practice(I wish I had been given some of these tips when I was a beginner) just wonderful, I feel completely free and rejuvenated. Every time I step on my mat, I am reminded why I chose to become involved in yoga. So thankful to My yoga online, for allowing me to expand my practice and been empowered by amazing instructors, without having to leave my own backyard and search for them

Spending the day resting, re cooperating and hydrating. Excited for tonight though to pop back on my mat and do both david and jesse's sun salutation practices(don't really have time to devote to the 90 min ashtanga intro yet). But hopefully they will give me that good boost to get a good nights sleep and start off the week on the right mat..i mean umm foot :)

Letter to myself:
Hello, its me, I am back(and I will be back! thank you Arnold Schwarzenegger). Still frustrated with how my body is behaving, but prepared to return to my healthy and beneficial lifestyle regardless of what happens next. Started off with a great yoga session this morning, thank you david magone! made some paleo gluten free brownies(cause what girl doesn't need some chocolate) to accompany the rain and cold weather and on I plunge forward into healthier and more optimistic times, chocolate and smile attached..:)

I have committed to my yoga practice 5-6 days a week, for the past 2 years. I have committed to being gluten free to help the health of my body even longer. I drink lots of water and tea, avoiding coffee and alcohol, take natural supplements every day and use natural body products. I have been very committed to the health and well being of my body and today I just feel like I hit a breaking point. Frustrated with how hard I try to stay well only to keep suffering from severe illnesses that debilitate me and leave me bedridden unable to even do my job. Losing family, friends and loved ones, as they scatter away from me, afraid that my bad luck will catch. This has been going on for over 5 years. While it is important to not give up and to learn from our times of pain and suffering tonight I drink(even though I am not supposed to since my liver is not in tip top shape) but oh well, tonight I drink and pretend like my body does what I tell it to, hoping for a better and more optimistic tomorrow
Hey there - Just wanted to say I hope you're feeling better today. Sending you healing thoughts and prayers.

Hello, I've read your posts with interest because I'm going through a similar scenario (started with allergies and asthma 2 yrs. ago, trying to "manage" exposure to allergens in the environment and in my diet. It's changed my life and is very frustrating! I too was recently diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia but I can't quite get better. They're still looking for another reason which may be causing me all these problems. How did they determine you had a lung parasite?
Hope you're feeling better ~
