By Padma (Marla Stewart) • November 6th, 2008 • 4798 Views

Shaanti refers to the quiet peace and calm experienced in deep meditation. Shaant is stillness. Its lovely to cultivate a regular practice of stillness, and get to know what it truly feels like to be still in your body, in your nervous system, in your emotions and in your mind. This stillness becomes delicious and profoundly refreshing. All anxiety, worry, tension and stress are gone in this state of stillness. You¹ll enjoy the quality of peace in your own being. As you cultivate this power of stillness every day in your meditation, you will start to notice that it has soaked into your everyday awareness. You¹ll feel a deep peace that does not go away no matter what is happening or what you are doing. You¹ll notice your mind is happier and your emotions are balanced.
