Shunya means zero, or empty, or nothing. Here I am referrring to the experience of shunya that we know in meditation when we deeply let go of all our attachments, especially to worry or sadness. Winter symbolizes that deep space where nothing moves and life just waits.
This space of stillness is deeply replenishing to life. When we allow ourself to rest for some time in stillness, we can get back in touch with the essential quality of pure being, just as we are, before any movements start. We find that Shunya is not nothing, but has infinite potential.
