Q: Thank you for your answer of my question of 13th July about how to arrange
bed- and waking time .

It is very helpful and will keep me busy for a while .

What I have not told in my email, that things has started to change as through some wonder my third eye and other main chakras has opened a few years ago.  As soon as I read something or concentrate , feel how pleasant , sometimes painful, am in touch between my eyebrows .

Meanwhile have learned to push a side the sound of as-if-a-grate-aircraft or centrifugal force in my ears.  I am in an unrecurencable process and do not really know, how to stay accurate in daily hard life and be in touch with Ajna , what I should do next? Should I do more meditation, or more asanas? Or should I do nothing and let it things to be welcome.  I have no idea how to organize my step by step of the path.

A : To address your question of whether you should do more meditation or more asanas to aid in your capacity to connect with Anja, I would first like to discuss the concept of coming into connection with the Third Eye.

The Third Eye (or the Anja Chakra), as an energy center, deals with self-knowledge, wisdom, intellect, clairvoyance, action of ideas, detachment, insight, understanding, intuitive reasoning, and visualization.

The Third Eye can also be viewed as a portal to the Observer.  A means of looking inwards and outwards with the viewpoint of the Inner Self – seeing the world and yourself as complete, as perfect in that moment.  The Third Eye easily becomes clouded by the vision of the Ego.  The Ego distorts our view of what completeness is, of what real abundance is, of what is relevant in the state of harmonious existence.

Bringing your attention to the Third Eye in meditation and asanas (like Child’s pose) can be useful tools to realigning with the Observer and opening this window.  But like any form of practice, we can not force a connection to the Third Eye.  We can not push this window open.  We are served better to shift into allowing, receiving and accepting.

As an example, I enjoy meditating directly on the Third Eye by simply closing the eyes, settling into stillness, and visualizing my gaze going towards the Anja chakra.  I experience so many different types and degrees of sensation each time.  Sometimes I feel a warm pressure in the forehead.  Sometimes I feel a tingling sensation on the skin,  And sometimes I feel nothing at all.  Given this, I avoid ‘expecting’ something to happen or to feel any physical manifestations.  If I ‘expect’ something specific, I create limitations as I may clouding other sensations and manifestations from occurring.

Therefore, shift from expecting anything from your meditations and practices.  These expectations stem from the Ego and can gradually take you down a path where we become attached to results in the practice.

I recommend that you continue your meditation and yoga as your body and mind seek balance and harmony.  Your Inner Teacher will guide you into the poses that generate healing for a more steady meditation practice.  Simple stillness and acceptance in your meditation will foster exploration and resurfacing of Self.  With each meditation, observe the rise of sensations of connection specific to that practice.  Absorb these sensations.  Explore what can be learnt and invite this self-discovery into your day.  One day, your meditation may express something new about contentment.  Then the next practice could reveal something about your character. 

Ultimately, Third Eye is simply a window and like all aspects of your practice, avoid attachment and expectations with this vehicle.  Bask in the freedom of choice as you receive new and different sensations with each practice.  Also keep in mind, that as we move along the path of life, our body and mind change.  Our practices will indeed modify and adapt to these changes.  Our stillness will resound with new echoes as the changing body and mind flow in and out of the connection with the Observer.  Be open to receiving this newness.
