Yes, really :)
Yes, I have been to Syndey and Melbourne, but not up north. I am actually looking at putting together a guest teaching tour of Australia much like I did for Dubai recently. Truly love Australia and the people - #1 dream 'retirement' destination.

Very calming way you present your practice and wasn't about the teacher's theatrics. Thank you.

hi wpbcarolina, thanks for your question regarding an alternative to child's pose ... looking at the general physical benefits of CP, they are stretching the lower back, knees/thighs, and ankles ... since your knees are problematic, you can gain similar benefits from a few easy options:
*lying on the back hugging the legs from under the thighs (lower back stretch)
*standing forward bend (maybe with soft knees to target the lower back)
*downward facing dog pose
*standing quadricep stretch (isolating one thigh muscle at a time)
Let me know if this helps. Other direct modifications are adding extra cushioning under the knees, and/or adding a cushion between the knees and thighs to reduce the amount of knee bend/flexion.
namaste,
kreg
