Sheryl Light guides students through a one-hour vinyasa flow class. Filmed at Stil Studio, these 60 minutes harmoniously blend Sun Salutations, standing poses, balances, backbends and hip openers. The predominant message of this class is mindfulness; remaining true to the individual form. Encouraging students to move at their own pace and at their own level, Sheryl offers both modifications and advanced variations, designing a practice suited for all.

Thanks for practicing with us Melissa and Maria. Beginner's mind keeps it all fresh, and in perspective for me as an instructor; doesn't matter how long any of us have been at it as long as we keep going in a mindful manner. Sending you light and gratitude~ Sheryl

Such a beautiful practice: challenging and still space and time to create openings. The sequence flowed extremely well and was a great all-round practice - strengthened and lengthened the entire body. Thank you Sheryl!

Dani, Thanks for your feedback and joining us for practice. I tend to bring in a spiritual component durring savasanna which was not included in the video, sorry. Asana can connect us, unify our mind and body, and serve to ground and balance us. I prefer to stay focused on that until we are able to let go of the physical and melt into relaxation. I appreciate your comments and will definitely consider them. Sending peace and light~ Sheryl

This is an extremely well-rounded intermediate class--challenging enough to make me feel satisfied, but slightly restorative as it did not make me break out into a sweat. You always have a few interesting variations that I've never seen such as that intense shoulder stretch or even just rising up of the toes in warrior 2. I must admit, I would have liked to have had a little more of a spiritual element inthe commentary--I kind of felt like the mood was one of a high school PE class! Still, it was a satisfying workout, and I'm not so easy to please! Good job!

Hi Meaghan, Thank you joining us for practice and sharing your feedback. You are definitely not alone with the savasana struggle. We are told that it's essential for the body be placed in a neutral position, so why not the mind as well? In my own practice, there are days when the background noise is comforting and eventually disappears, and others when it draws my focus in way too much. I am glad that in this video leaving it entirely up to you was helpful.

There are many things that I love about this class. I think the flow between postures is fluid and makes so much sense for my body, helping me go deeper into my own practice. I also love how the video ends just after the beginning of shavasana. I have a very active mind and this is one of the hardest poses for me, but with the video ending, I find myself not distracted by background music, but finally melting into the ground. Namaste.
