Your power center holds energy. This third energy center of the 7 that line our central line, or spine, is where many of us hold untapped energy. Also called Manipura, the power center is associated with our capacity for commitment, our own will power, and the strength to present our most essential selves to the world. Tap into it through this practice intended to help strengthen your core, your commitment and your stability-on and off your mat. This practice is also a great core workout. Note - Those who are pregnant, have high blood pressure, lung problems, or heart problems do long, deep breathing instead of breath of fire.

thanks for your comments everyone! it's so nice to hear from you. as a side note, I believe that Yin is a beautiful complementary practice for Kundalini--so those looking for some deeper stretching, I highly recommend videos by Cameron Gilley or Bernie Clark, who I did my Yin teacher training with

Hi Giangeet,
Thanks for your thoughts and insights. I think we all have a different form of yoga (for some us there are many) that resonates most with us. It's all part of a beautiful and liberating learning curve ;)
We do have quite a bit more Kundalini on it's way so stay tuned.
Namaste,
Michelle

Unique and different. I would have liked some yoga poses/stretch incorporated within the lesson.
