From the Maya Yoga Vinyasa Fusion DVD’s, instructor Nicki Doane leads us through a dynamic 20 minute back bending flow. What makes Maya Yoga’s series different from other Asana sequences is the balanced approach to back bending strength, the attention to detail and alignment, and the broader focus on finding a deep inner strength that supports everything we do. This Back Bending practice balances traditional fitness notions of back strength with awareness of developing a strong, steady breath and a quiet mind.

I liked the setting but was hoping for more back bends. The first part of the practice are just regular yoga moves with no additional focus on the spine.

very frustrated because I was really enjoying this flow but the video jumped to the end right in the middle of it, I tried it twice. However, seemed a really beautiful flow and I look up some other videos by this teacher

Beautiful setting, music saved me...practice wasn't so much moderate as very repetitive...but was quick and to the point.

I love this flow. It is the perfect pace and gets in exactly what I want in 20 minutes. Just did it as a pick-me-up and "Mommy time-out" and now I feel refreshed and ready to make dinner for the kids! Thanks!

This was very good. Brief but to the point. Nice flow but not too fast and I love the detailed instructions. I felt stronger than I thought, straightened my legs more and feel quite refreshed.

Great practice. Nicki's instructions are clear and concise- especially on breath work. It is athletic enough to get my blood flowing and wake my brain up. Although the sun seems to be setting behind her, I think this is a good morning practice. P.S.- I don't know why people would choose a 20 min vinyasa flow and then complain that its too fast. Like Nicki says in the video, "you're stronger than you think!"
