Dr. Cupido graduated from McMaster University with a degree in the Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology program. She went on to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College from which she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic with clinic honours.
Dr. Cupido's provision of the requisite tools to keep her patients both healthy and active is clear evidence of her chiropractic philosophy: patient education and informative teaching are fundamental components of sound chiropractic health care. Following years of competing as a runner, Dr. Cupido recognizes the importance of patient-centered care; if patients understand what caused their injury, they will be better equipped to prevent future recurrences. Dr. Cupido works with her patients as their advisor towards improving quality of living and enhancing physical performance.
Dr. Cupido competed at the National level for 6 years as a runner training under the guidance of two-time Olympian and coach, Paula Schnurr and McMaster University coach, Pete Self. During her years at McMaster, Dr. Cupido won numerous awards including track MVP, Rookie of the Year and OUA Athlete of the Week, as well as three prestigious awards for her contribution to the community through the development of the McMaster Varsity Outreach Program.
While in attendance at chiropractic college, Dr. Cupido began her exploration of yoga. Over the years, her interest in yoga grew in parallel with her knowledge of the human body and she discovered a relationship between yoga and chiropractic that intrigued her. She endeavours to become a yoga instructor, which will further assist her in connecting the practices of yoga and chiropractic.
