Toast with Avocado
Not all bread is created equal but two slices of essene (sprouted grain bread) or sourdough rye is a wholesome savoury option. Spread half an avocado and add thin slices of tomato, fresh basil and some cracked pepper.
Eggs (for our non-vegan friends)
Poach, boil or fry or scramble with a little coconut oil two eggs for a high protein fix. Eat with baby spinach, tomato and mushrooms on the side. This is ideal for the weekend and those days where you need more on your plate. Coconut oil is ideal because its structure stays stable at high temperatures.

I have a green smoothie for the last year on a regular basis for breakfast. Getting comments about my skin which I believe is due to the Green Super foods I add to the smoothies. My son has also discovered the power of such smoothies and shares those on a daily basis on facebook.....

Thanks for the link... I agree fruit is best eaten on its own most of the time, however I find there are many theories regarding diet/ food choices. In the end I listen to my body and if I feel good I go with it : )

This is an overall very well written article on breakfast - but Yoga's sister science, Ayurveda, has a guidelines on food combining. Fruit with yoghurt is difficult to digest. Here is a complete list: http://www.ayurveda.com/online_resource/food_combining.pdf

AUM
I have been loving a green smoothie for breakfast. I also like green tea or Chai in the morning. I need to remember to hydrate though. My mom drinks lemon juice every morning. I guess I should follow her example!
