I love to learn about myself. Whether it's finding out what I'm capable of physically, mentally or manifesting my inner truth, yoga helps me achieve that. I love hiking, playing guitar, creating artwork, playing golf and spending time with my kids, grandkids, husband and friends. I'm always seeking to create balance and harmony in my life through fitness, eating wholesome foods, as well as, spiritual nourishment.

More About Me

My Occupation is
I am a studio artist. I received my Bachelors in Fine Art from the University of Michigan. I presently create jewelry for a local art gallery.

My hobbies/interests are
I play guitar and love playing music with my husband, I also enjoy golf, creating artwork, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

One secret that helps me to stay healthy is
I sometimes get off track when it comes to working out and eating well, but the thing that has helped me the most is the simple realization that 'this too shall pass". That this slump I'm in is only temporary. Sometimes when we fall back on our healthful habits we tend to think we're going to stay stuck and never get out of our rut. When this happens, I remind myself 'change' is the one constant we can count on and soon I'll be back to my healthy rountine of exercising and eating well. This realization takes the pressure off and gives me permission to be less than perfect, which feels more true for me. And it sometimes motivates me into slowly lighting that fire again.

My wellness goals are
To find ways to stay fit and healthy in a way that is fun and joyful. A balanced lifestyle that is always interesting, exciting and inspirational

I see myself achieving my wellness goals by
Setting small goals each day. I would love to exercise an hour a day, but that rarely happens, so, on those days when I don't feel like doing ANYTHING, I convince myself I don't have to, just do 5 minutes....and this invaribly turns into at least 20 minutes if not more. As far as eating healthful foods, I don't eat meat and try to buy organic. Sometimes it's challenging and out of frustration I will eat something convenient instead of healthful. I don't buy much junk food, so I don't have it in the house. But we all know you don't need junk food to eat poorly. I use the same logic as I mentioned earlier.....I tell myself, 'this too shall pass' and I congratulate myself for noticing the poor eating and ask myself to get back on track. I truly believe if we live as close to our truth as possible, this usually makes the 'slump' intervels a little shorter for me.

My inspirations are
I am always inspired by the words of the Dalai Lama.

A little more about me
Only that it's nice to be here.
