One secret that helps me to stay healthy is
eating good food for your body. stocking your home with food that makes you feel strong and healthy. that doesn't exclude indulging, it's about finding the balance that can make you happy & feel your best.
My wellness goals are
realign the parts of my body that hold natural weaknesses and bring myself into better whole balance.
I see myself achieving my wellness goals by
continue to practice daily, and look clearly at what can be improved in myself & my lifestyle.
My inspirations are
after having a nasty snowboarding injury I found yoga to be a fantastic way to help get back strength and flexibility in my leg & hip without the impact associated with most exercise. I love yoga's accessibility to all, and it's ability to stimulate self healing.

practicing daily again thank god. just did the winter seasonal vinyasa and found the information very interesting as it definitely speaks to me and my lifestyle. will be keeping it in mind as the season changes from winter to spring. definitely starting to feel more energized already though with a little sun! pulled my groin/leg muscle yesterday, so painful. stretched it out a bit last night though and is feeling much better today. didn't go up riding to give it a break.. hopefully it'll be back to 100% tomorrow!
otherwise have been feeling pretty good. spring allergies are starting already so I bought an all natrual nasal spray which is working pretty well so far. and have started to cut back on how much I eat as my energy output goes down (less work and less intense snowboarding everyday). have already started to feel the difference but i'm giving myself two weeks to get fully back in the spring swing! haha

whole body falling apart from snowboarding!! ahhhh. Been so sore all week, was really slacking on the Yoga from always being so tired from snowboarding.. so the last few days I've gone up and rode and done yoga and it was good.. until I shoveled the driveway and hurt my wrist then fell on it snowboarding.. so now i'm going to go to some nice mellow easy lululemon yoga tonite haha

Good lord my shoulder makes some horrible grinding cracking noises. While I was practicing this morning I was doing something and realised my left shoulder (as always) was out of alignment. The process of bringing it into alignment resulted in a noise like putting screws in a garbage disposal. Hmmm not good.
Oh the plus side though, my shoulder IS getting stronger. I can now lower down from plank to the floor. Well sort of, I usually put my knee's down (NO EGO! haha) to take the pressure off, but I couldn't even do THAT a few months ago. Plus I can actually do it full pull up style but it just always ends up hurting my shoulder. So yeah, work a little more on strength and alignment before I start lifting my knee's ;)

ahhh days off are fantastic. got to wake up yesterday and do dani's class. then today woke up did yoga got to practice again thisafternoon. so much time on my hands haha
