Had another go at 'Beginner Yoga Practice'. I enjoyed it, but again once i was finished and stood up I felt quite dizzy, unbalanced and a little nausious. As this is a beginner class . . . maybe im doing something wrong - i'm not sure.

I'm so disappointed this morning . . . I tried to beginner yoga sessions this morning and had to stop both halfway through becuase I couldnt do the poses. Too tight. I wanted to try something different and not do the same practice everyday but now I feel quite disappointed as I only get so much time early in the morning.

Missed out on doing any Yoga today as I had to go out early, so a bit disappointed about that. Looking forward to my practice tomorrow morning.

This morning I took myself for a good 20 minute walk and when I got back settled myself ready for some practice. I chose to do the Tai Chi and Qi Gong Basics - it was great to really slow my movments! Quite refreshing, considering I move around the place quite fast. I didn't realise how much I move around throughout the day until I really slowed my movements this morning. I found that my energy stayed with me all day today and I felt great. I've added this Tai Chi to my favourites and will be doing it often. Brekkie~2 pieces of wholemeal toast with boysenberry jam, Morning Tea~ natural yogurt, blueberries, LSA & honey, apple and brazil nuts. Lunch~ crackers with cheese and fruit chutney, celery with peanut butter and sultanas, Dinner~ scrambled egg on wholemeal toast. Happy days :)

Did my first yoga session tonight . . . beginners yoga . . . felt a bit strange at first and a little nausious, but now that im finished and relaxed I feel really good!! During my relaxation I sensed all my tension is held in my face and front neck muscles. I will have to find some good excercises or poses to work on releasing that tension and loosening up.

Hi Clare, It is common for people new to yoga to experience a little bit of nausea especially when being introduced to deep breathing and inverting the head below heart-level. Listen to your body and exit poses when you need to - ease off the deep breathing and find a comfortable seated or lying posture to rest. Neck tension is also very very common. I highly recommend the Upper Cross Syndrome videos which will help you target many of the areas that develop imbalance and act on the neck and face. Namaste, Kreg MYO

                      • Sarah - I gave myself 2 hours after eating, but that may not of been long enough. May have to take a page out of your book and do earlier ~ just so cold at the moment ~ hard not to shiver through practice lol

Kreg - Thank you so much for your tips. I will look up some of those videos and give them a go.
