Hi Nadja, The first thing with addressing back pain is determining if it is chronic (developed over time) or acute (sudden, abrupt) injury. If you back pain is strong, you should consult with a medical professional for proper diagnosis. If you know your back pain is a chronic condition, consider addressing what may be contributing to this:*poor posture*improper work ergonomics or movement mechanics*imbalanced muscle loading due to one-sided activities (ie golfing)*being overweight or pregnant*incorrect sleeping positionsIt is always best to address the cause when always working through remedies. If your lower back pain is mild and you have clearance to do yoga and exercise, consider the following:*gentle opening your hip flexors - much of our back tension is from tight hip flexors (ie low lunges)*gentle forward bends like Child Pose*gentle twists like Two Knee Twist (you can support this pose with pillows under or between the knees)*gentle hamstring openers like Legs Up the Wall pose*very light and very slow Cat Poses to ease mobility into the entire spineBut again, please make sure to have proper clearance and follow recommendations by health professionals.Namaste,Kreg WeissMy Yoga Online
