ok... i really want to do this cleanse, however, NO caffeine? NO smoking? Is there someway of easing into this without going cold turkey? I have no problem with the other parts of the detox, but like most, coffee in the morning and a cig at night seems my last "crutch"... I am concerned and a little scared. I do want to do this. Any suggestions?

Still loving this!!! I am even reading the fiction book..."Enlightment for Idiots" ... as much as it is funny it seems to coincide with some things that I am doing and feeling now. I loved this morning doing 2 videos... one for fore and the other Surya Morning and now feel like I now will be more able to.... enjoy.... namaste

I am loving doing yoga everyday... it helps to center me and to remind me to breathe...even during the rough times....

So once we finish a stage, can we do the next or do we have to wait for the next day?

I have a health/knee question....when going into half crescent, I experience a shooting, burning pain in my left knee. This I know is from an old injury that flares when I kneel a certain way on that knee. Any advice as to how to work this into half crescent on my left side?
Thanks!!

It depends on your level of commitment. You are only smoking one cigarette at night and one coffee in the morning? I've had clients who overnight gave up multiple coffees and cigarettes a day. That is what I would call a Level 10 committed person.
Addictive substances are the hardest thing to remove from our diet because we can be physically and emotionally addicted to them. They are often the things that are most beneficial to remove from the diet.
You are going to feel how tired your body truly is, so i'm not going to sugar coat it and say it will be easy. But you are indeed strong enough to take it on. And your body will thank you for it. You can go cold turkey, or construct a weaning program for yourself. Either way know that these recommendations are the way to get that "All-over healthy buzz."
Please keep me updated on your progress!

I agree with Kate. The cleanse can be done to many levels, depending on your commitment. Cutting back on smoking and coffee will be a benefit in and of itself, and combing it with increasing cleansing foods and activities can only add to the benefit. Completely removing the toxic substances before deep cleansing is ideal. But I have had some clients who, just by increasing exercise and eating more cleansing foods, actually start to naturally reduce their cravings and reliance upon the addictive substances. You are right in that they are a crutch, so when you are mended back to whole with diet and lifestyle, you will not need the 'crutches' anymore!
