My Occupation is
I am a musician - elementary music teacher, singer, pianist, and mom of two!

My hobbies/interests are
Yoga, French, travel, cooking, dance, learning new instruments, musical theatre

One secret that helps me to stay healthy is
I try to stay in balance in my life - time for work, rest, exercise, spirit, family, friends. I'm happiest when I'm in balance.

My wellness goals are
To achieve my perfect weight of 135 lbs.
To be able to hold crane pose.
To breathe deeper throughout the day.
To continue to practice yoga every day.

I see myself achieving my wellness goals by
Doing yoga videos daily, starting and finishing my spring cleanse, and taking little mental check-in breaks to make sure I'm breathing and present.

    • A great day!

      Today
      2 glasses wine in evening - red wine, one with dinner, one while working

      Dinner - 6 p.m. at table w/family. Leftover shrimp stirfry with rice and veggies. okay. Lukewarm. But still tasty. Felt relaxed, happy. enjoyed the food.

      Snack: in car on way to see house. Hungry! nonfat blueberry greek yogurt, wheat thins, water. Good, satisfying. Energizing.

      Lunch: At Katie's house, sitting at counter in kitchen while kids eating = playdate. Veggie burger on top of salad with celery, carrots, caesar dressing. Delicious. Coffee with soy creamer. Yummy! Water.

      Breakfast - 1 1/2 raisin scones that I made! At table with family. A little strawberry/raspberry jam on the warm scone. Delicious, satisfying. Drank Lipton tea with milk and honey. And had a cup of coffee with half and half. I loved this breakfast. It was satisfying, sweet, but not too much, and delicious.

          Breakfast
          9;47 in kitchen sitting on floor with kids at mini table.
          Bowl of oatmeal with generous handful of raisins, a spoonful of brown sugar, and milk. Delicious!!!!!
          Two big mugs of coffee with some hot chocolate in it. YUMMY, soothing, fun

          12:30 p.m. lunch
          1 slice of homemade pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and red peppers
          2 celery sticks. Felt good. Had to make myself eat the celery, but sat down at dining room table and ate those darn veggies to be a good role model for my kids. Darnit!
          Did I have a snack? I don't remember......
          4:30 Tea with milk and sugar while making dinner
          6:00 Lentil soup (homemade and vegetarian), delicious!!!! 2 small slices homemade pizza, one with pepperoni and veggies, the other plain. Eaten with Nick at dinner table. Felt healthy, comforted, a little angry, but then peaceful.

          8:50 glass of red wine while sitting on couch. delicious!

              I just did 30 minutes of Lindsey's kundalini yoga for heart center and I feel fantastic. Ready to sing and have a great day. Namaste!
