      Energy Boost.
I work with children, and that often wears me out. Also though, I've had symptoms of hypoglycemia, which makes me fatigue often. I use food to increase my energy, but I wonder if yoga can help as well.

I have been revisiting a problem that I have done in yoga a lot. I use my eyes too much and they become a strain to the pose. It's like I use my eyes to feel the intensity of what I am doing. But yoga is not like other exercises. I realized mid-practice today that I should practice warming my gaze. As soon as I thought that I could literally feel them melting back into the heat of the rest of my body. Instead of forcing myself to feel the asana and using my eyes to do so, I can feel my body working the pose, as a separate entity from my ego. It is so humbling to feel the honest place that my body is at, and just let it do the pose without my input of force.

I just did another Yin Yoga session, and again I feel inspired by it. I think that alternating between typical Yang yoga and Yin yoga is something that can work well for my body. It's deepening and restorative and reminds me of my inner peace and divinity.

                  Yin Yoga

                  • My first real introduction, found courtesy of this site, was a revelation. I am inspired by this precious morsel of information, that indeed there is an opposite to the regular asana practice of yang yoga. There is a counterbalance to all the muscular stretches and strengthening and balancing. Yin Yoga, is a beautiful answer resolve to the wonders of yang yoga. I feel that I have a holistic other to carry with my practice that just makes everything make more sense. To have another practice that gets deeper into cartilage and bones, with equal depth, yet upon opposite body materials and psychological receptors. Yin yoga is a revelation to me, and I just had to share that with you.
