Question: What small actions can we take to help make a big difference in the world?
When companies make it their mission to make the world a better place, we can’t help but want to support them. That’s why we’re thrilled that Yudu is our featured Tuesday Yoga Giveaway.
As they say at Yudu, they put their profits where their values are, contributing a percentage of profits to community organizations. Every 90 days they choose a different one to support. And they ask their customers to help by sharing their knowledge of “Someone who is working to change the world, fights for cleaner rivers, runs a birth clinic in Nepal, builds bike trails, smiles in an elevator, rescues Pit Bulls, or volunteers at a therapeutic horseback riding ranch.” Interested in participating in that? Click here to recommend a group you know.
Lucky for us, Yudu also makes great clothes. Their organic cotton basics are flattering and comfy, and the women’s long-sleeve thermal is no exception. Warm and cozy, it’s form-fitting and stylish enough to pull off as a regular top. Plus, their clothing is made in the U.S.A. without the use of pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.
Yudu is giving one (1) lucky My Yoga Online member one (1) women’s long-sleeve thermal shirt.

The smallest action we can take to make a big difference in the world is to get honest with ourselves, know where we've done wrong or hurt others and become willing to acknowledge and clean up the wrong move we've made. The trick is to first hold ourselves compassionately; we need to lovingly accept ourselves and our mistakes, staying open and willing to do what it takes to correct where we went wrong as soon as possible. By freeing up our own hearts and minds through rigorous attention to how we can do better, and by letting ourselves be vulnerable in our attempts to make amends wherever necessary, we keep our spirits clean and model compassion, understanding and ownership of our mistakes for others. It's a small daily practice but one that can make a huge positive impact on our lives and those around us.

We can make a big difference in the world by doing the small things. Help an elderly person cross the street, open a door, be nice to someone who may not be nice, plant a tree and always remember the little children live what they learn so be good examples for them but most importantly give the children love, security, safety as they are the future of the world.

Many, many small things can be done to bring everything together in harmony:
-switch to a vegetarian/vegan diet...This helps preserve the peace and love for all living beings.
-recycle to help preserve the beauty of this world
-hug someone different every day
-smile at people you see on the street
-Listen
We are all connected in the universe. When this is understood, it is easy to see how one small action can affect all of the cosmos. But most of all, when we learn to love and care for ourselves first, we can learn to love and care for all beings.
