Tuesday Yoga Giveaway: prAna
Posted on February 14th, 2012

Question: What does love mean to you?
For the team here at MyYogaOnline.com, love is a daily affirmation we practice for ourselves and the world—through self-care, and being of service to the world.
We love that for the crew at prAna, the ancient Sanskrit term for breath, life and vitality of spirit has helped guide their actions and lift their aspirations since day one. And we’re excited for our community that prAna is offering an item of your choice to you and someone you love, for Valentine’s Day!
Nearly two decades ago, prAna started making clothing for climbing and yoga. They discovered people were wearing them for other reasons, too, and branched out into new products with "purpose" in mind. Today, prAna participates in business with like-minded companies (like us! www.myyogaonline.com) who want to promote conservation and create positive change. They support organic cotton, fair trade and wind power initiatives—among other world-benefitting initiatives.
Two of their ambassadors—Shiva Rea and John Friend—are part of our My Yoga Online community.
Watch our interview with John Friend here. And check out Shiva Rea’s latest videos here.

Love means being okay with the fact that no thing and no person in this world is perfect, but we are all an extension of the Divine, the Creator of Love, the greatest love. Without knowing, giving and receiving love to/from all beings (including self), there is no real knowledge or encompassing of love. Love is not perfect either. Love is raw - entangled with many emotions that isn't always a cuddly feeling. That's the beauty of love. We are love and to know real love, you first must know your own Divine spark b/c that's where love resides and then flows out.

love is learning to love yourself, with all the flaws. love is learning that everyone, yes even myself, is human and we do things sometimes that we regret....but to tlearn to love yourself and accept, forgive and move towards more positive situations is what TRUE LOVE is. Knowing that everyone goes through ups and downs but all we/I hope for in the end is to be loved and to know this truly. Through yoga and other meditations and talks I have been able to see this. This site helps me everyday to keep it real and true... thank you... sounds corny, but now I know what Namaste truly means.

Love is about giving your life to something greater than yourself... You really shouldn't say "I Love you" unless you mean it. But if you mean it, then you should definitely say it a lot, cos people forget... :)
