Question: What helps you get grounded?
The folks at Okabashi have an idea—super comfy flip-flops that are good for you, the environment, and your pocketbook. More than a sandal, the Maui flip-flops have a massing insole, ergonomic foot-bed, extra arch support, are made in the USA from 100% recyclable, vegan-friendly, latex-free material and are guaranteed for two years. As if that wasn’t enough, they’re also waterproof and dishwasher safe. Yup, you can even throw ‘em in with your cups and plates if you want to.
Okabashi is a family-owned business that has focused on designing and manufacturing extremely comfortable shoes for more than 25 years. Since 1984, the company has set themselves apart by producing a shoe that is much more than a shoe. Each of their shoes is designed with well-being of their customers, the environment, and buyer’s pocketbooks in mind.

What gets me grounded, many things, the air, the ground, the ocean, a hug, breathe, remembering to ground into the earth, seeing a small baby, a flower, and of course, Yoga.. namaste.

Deep Breathing while stretching keeps me grounded. Because I can do it anywhere, on the golf course even at work while sitting at my desk and brings me back to center so I can continue with my day :o)

For me, grounding comes as I intentionally slow down and turn inward. It can also come when I sit and people watch. It helps gain perspective on what I'm doing when I see what others are doing, too.

Grounding always comes from the reality of understanding the limitations of our bodies. Where we're at toda versus yesterday and every other day we practice. Grounding also comes from how our breath transcends those positions, our attitudes and yin-yang balance.
