For the crew at Future: Standard, the clothing of the future is all made sustainably and is fair trade. They envision a time when this is so common, so standard, that no labels are needed—these qualities are simply assumed.
Future: Standard is an online boutique that provides ethical clothing and accessories (eco-friendly, fair trade, locally made, anything made with respect to the planet and those who are making it). They don’t compromise on style. Nor do they think their values should get in the way of looking great.
The crew at Future: Standard believe that the first step in creating their vision is creating demand. They’re passionate about showing designers, retailers and manufacturers that consumers want ethical clothing, and helping designers see how it can be done without compromising style and fit.
Future: Standard is giving one My Yoga Online community member $150 USD to spend at shopfuturestandard.com.

I believe the future of fashion should be 'effortless comfort.' Why be uncomfortable with itchy, stiff, non-flowing garments, when you can wear breathable, stretchable, soft fibers made with bamboo, hemp etc... fabrics that can be cut into any style, shape or form, with variant colors, and abilities to be transformed into whatever your imagination can dream of. Dream clothing should be the future, for we should always feel like we're floating in the clouds, soft... flowing...effortless.

I believe our clothing will become softer, gentler, more flowing; more will be made from bamboo, hemp and additional sustainable resources, sharing the sentiments of others that this produces a better quality and longer lasting product.

Sustainable. Fair trade. Local. Handmade items made with love have a good energy about them. Items made in factories will only be made using green technology and production methods.

I also hope that the "future" holds more local, sustainable, environmentally friendly clothes! And I think "eclectic" will come more and more into prominence, with an "anything goes" kind of theme!

I think clothing of the future will be beautiful, and reflect nature and all its elements. The designs will be simple, natural, comfortable, move with us, and made from sustainable and organic resources. Clothing should be made locally, at a fair wage, and fair price.

To me the future of clothing includes more sustainable fabrics as well as a rise in artisan and locally made clothing. I picture streamlined designs that echo modern standards while keeping hints of beauty and movement from previous eras. I hope that the production such clothing would be accessible from a financial perspective to a large number of people rather than an elite few.

All inclusive, no exclusive. Funky, punky, hippy, goth. Rockabilly, designer, trash or posh. Lets think big across the board, sustainability with diversability. Earth friendly fashion made with passion, keeping up pace with the whole human race!

The future of clothing will honor healthy, female bodies. We will not have to tug at, pull or squirm in our clothes. Our future clothes will work for us, flatter us and provide us with comfort, warmth and functional elegance. They will be made of breathable, comfortable, sustainable fabrics that move with us, not against us. The clothes will allow us to express ourselves. Wearing them will make us feel whole, nurtured, beautiful and self-confident, revealing our healthful, radiant selves.

I hope that the future of clothing is sustainable and comfortable but still stylish and with a strong emphasis placed on knowing where our clothing comes from.
