I find calm in the holiday swirl by hiding out a little while each day to be alone. Then I am ready for all the time in the world with my family and loved ones :)

a few hours of "me" time is all I need. if I can get that a couple times per week I'm just fine.

This can be tricky and sometimes can be a strugle. This year is different. With a new door opening to separation I find myself connecting with mother nature. A good run, rake of the leaves with my kids, yoga flow, or a bike ride at night with my kids in christmas lights( in the nieghborhood) help extremly. A given is Christmas music every day.

I find calm during the holidays by walking with my dog in the woods, and writing in my journal.

I take my dogs out for a long walk in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes I bring groovy music, but most of the time I just practice letting go and opening to the quiet.

I am finding calm by doing Yoga. I usually do more running and harder workouts but this is helping me relax and breath more deeply. I also, like to take a few minutes and enjoy a nice cup of tea and just listen to the wonder sounds of the desert around me.

I slash my schedule, and--face it--avoid people not so important to me who would sap my time. I remember I have my online (and another site or two)'s mind-body and conscious dance practices, and I go to them (or--as ever--to my own routine) ..

I pause and remember that what matters most is spending time with my family, not whether I get everything done on my list. A few deep calming breaths help keep me grounded and in the moment.

I take time to be thankful. Holidays always seem to be about giving, never taking a moment just to be thankful for all that you have.

I feel so stressed out right now and even though I love Christmas time I find myself wishing it were over already. I find my calm on my mat or my special meditation place. It helps calm my over active mind and relieves the stress in my tense body. That's where I'm headed right now! And a glass of wine after doesn't hurt either :) Namaste

Although I am a big fan of the holiday season, like most other people I can get overwhelmed with the stress of the holidays. I tend to get carried away trying to make sure the parties are perfect and trying to get the grandest gifts for friends and family, I typically am disappointed by the results. What helps me during the holidays is to meditate and practice yoga which helps me focus on the things that really matter like spending quality time with friends and family.
