Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition that can respond quite well to conservative care. Surgical releases are often not successful. I would highly recommend searching out a chiropractor who uses Active Release Technique or Graston Technique with the intention of attempting to decrease the scar tissue in the area(s) of entrapment before going ahead with surgery. If you begin conservative care immediately, you should have enough time to see results. If conservative care fails, then yes, surgery might be your best option, depending of course how bad your current symptoms are. You can go to www.activerelease.com to search for a provider in your area. You can also go to www.grastontechnique.com to search for a Graston provider in your area. I wish you all the best in your quest to avoid surgery if possible.

Now a days I feel why people are busy in purchasing medicine, why not practice yoga 10 15-20 minutes every day. I have the same problem & decided to follow instruction online for various yoga postures & exercises. I am 60% already recovered from last 20 days

I have a different sort of question for which I hope you can offer some suggestions or links to resources that will help. Recently, I have been diagnosed with developing “hammer toe” My problem is a swelling and discomfort in the ball of my foot anytime that I do any yoga poses that put weight on that foot. My first action, of course, was to drop out of my yoga class. However, I feel that yoga, if doing the correct exercises might help. Are you aware of any others that have experience this problem and have had success with continuing yoga practices?
