I sweat a lot, felt really invigorated and cleansed. I really liked the voice and the pose explanations and benefits too. The final relaxation song was confusing. Is there a reason for it? It is difficult to keep one´s mind blank while listening to a country ballad. Perhaps we are supposed to be focusing on the song? It is fairly impossible (at least for me) not to. All in all, good class.

The teacher's voice reminds me of what you hear over the pa system at a department store, canned, fake and overly nice and sweet. Quite unbearable. The dreamy, ethereal music just became irritating after a while. I kept hoping that there might be a little dose of flesh and blood reality but none to be found here. This is new age flakiness stuff at its worst. Lord have mercy

LOVED the explanations with the poses. It's wonderful to have deeper understanding of what benefits your mind and body are receiving from each pose. Saved as a favorite!

+1 Rate Comment DownRate Comment Up zencat 2009-11-29 16:42:52 This is a well-rounded, complete vinyasa practice: Starts with (very) fast sun salutations, proceeds to standing poses, then balance, back bends, forward bends, and inversions. The pace starts fast (you hold poses just 4-5 breaths in the standing poses) and slows down as it moves along. Even though well-rounded, it somehow didn't feel satisfying enough to me, maybe because the first part of the class goes by too quickly, before the body gets a chance to warm up properly. I felt a bit rushed through all poses except the inversions. The shavasana song is, indeed, a weird choice. The music throughout the practice is soft Indian, then it shifts to a country ballad for shavasana.
