Bernie Clark

Bernie Clark has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1998. He has a bachelors degree in science from the University of Waterloo and combines his intense interest in yoga with an understanding of the scientific approach to investigating the nature of things. His ongoing studies have taken him deeply inside mythology, comparative religions, and psychology. All of these avenues of exploration have clarified his under-standing of the ancient Eastern practices of yoga and meditation.

When he spoke of being 'seperated from our thoughts', that really resonated with me as well, because i began to visualize that detachment, and then began to feel that peace, that cord that connects our thoughts that create feelings of anxiety and stress, was for a few seconds, severed. What a great feeling, it allows you to be aware that you are the creator of your reality and that taking time to create that space is absolutely beneficial to self growth and care. Thank you, truly inspired and hope more people will learn to benefit from this in their busy lives.

Before I know it, I have drifted off on an entire stream of thoughts from what I am planning to do that day or what I did do or things that have happened in the past. I was trying to meditate 10 minutes in the morning and at night after I finish my yoga practice and I started finding excuses to skip it. When I joined the web site today, this was the first video I tried. Towards the end he talked about the peace you feel when your thoughts still and your mind is like the sky with no clouds (clouds being the thoughts that are drifting by). I got such a well of emotion and I cried because I really did feel peace and it was so beautiful for those couple of seconds. For the first time, I really felt like I was meditating.

Non-intimidating and non-snobby (as this sort of thing can sometimes be) done in a way that makes an impact and you can truly understand. Great practice.
